Kantara, Salamis, Varosha
We start the morning travelling east along the coastal road up to Kantara, enjoying incredibly beautiful views, to one of the island’s three Crusader castles, visited by King Richard the Lionheart. We then continue on down to the Salamis ruins, once Cyprus’ most powerful city, where we eat lunch. For those who do not want to see Salamis ruins there is an opportunity to swim. In the afternoon we arrive at Famagusta and visit Varosha the “dead city”.
